Why can't I just post my picture on your blog
Answer. You could, but I prefer that you email it. I only post to this blog weekly.
If you email me, I will know right away that you have "made contact".
What's this about "copyright infringement"?
Simply put, it just means that you are the creator of the quilt you post. If you want to be eligible for any quilting contests, than you must comply.
In other words, we can't award anyone who isn't willing to agree that, yes, you are the creator of this quilt you entered. That's all.
When is your next quilting contest
As soon as we receive 100 hundred entries. You may only enter one quilt per contest.

Sun Bonnet Sue and Time with Grandma
My Grandma was a wonderful woman. She had Auburn hair (which she kept tucked under a scarf), powdered cheeks, and coral lipstick, which she kept inside of her black patent purse.
I loved grandmas purse. I could see my reflection (sort of)in it, and it had a golden clasp. It was your classic grandma purse.I think she called it a hand bag.
My grandmother was always sewing things. Especially quilts. In fact, it seemed like every other visit, grandma had some new quilt for me.
Though there were plenty of patchwork, log cabin, and pinwheel quilts, the theme of her creations was overwhelmingly Sun Bonnet Sue.
My name is Sue, so I thought those quilts were awesome.
And oh my, what charm.
I didn't find out until years later the popularity those quilts held in her day.
And I thought she had designed them for me :(
I am absolutely smitten with the Sun Bonnet Sue design, and would flip for any photos you all might have.
